Q: I haven't seen too many company purchases similar to GUD buying GBT. Is it unusual to take out the major shareholders then individuals and will small shareholders be forced to sell?
The purchase was paid in cash with no dilution, Medisen is paying $77M for their shares, GUD will have well over $300M left plus any Biotoscana profits from Nov. 29 and, yet the share price is very weak. Is something not going well?
Finally, Medisen has 4 years to sell their GUD shares. Do you think they are selling now to raise cash to buy back their shares and, second, is a low price good for GUD as biotoscan shareholders will most likely sell at the ptemium offered? Thank you!

Q: What do you think about Jim Cramer's comments that fossil fuels are dead? With all the pipeline protests and endowment funds divesting of fossil fuel investments, it seems there is limited long term growth for these companies. Should one divest of pipeline and fossil fuel stocks and instead go towards renewables? Considering that millennials will be the next big wave of investors, and they tend to be anti fossil fuels. Could you provide some ETFs that are focused on renewables?

Q: Hi 5iR, InterRent real estate appears to me to be a low profile property owner and developer with about 8000 suite located in Ontario and Quebec. The stock price is currently $17.00 and the company yields a very modest, 1.8%. If I had bought IIP in 2015, when it traded at $5.00 I would now be up 240%. The 5yr graph is any investors dream, slow and steady, constantly moving up with almost zero volatility. I like what I see and read about this company.
What am I missing here??? Thanks Team. Cheers, Chris

Q: Dear Sirs,
I posed a question recently regarding the new issuance of debt by Great Canadian Gaming ( 5 1/4% Dec/2026) and was directed to the archive. I have found commentary on the company, but nothing specific to this debt issuance and your view of this particular instrument as an investment. Your analysis would be most appreciated.

With thanks.

Q: In your update today you noted the last quarter had "adjusted EPS of $0.02". The company reported EPS losses of $0.04 for both basic and diluted. Pls explain how the adjustments are calculated.
The company posted a loss of $2.7 million - a big increase from the loss of $1.5 million in Q1 2019. Pls advise what make that a "good quarter"
Thanks

Q: TFI International has indicated it will be offering 6 million shares for public offer.
Am I correct in assuming it will be at a discount to current market price which will put some short term downward pressure on the stock price?
If this is correct would it be prudent to sell now before the price is announced and buy back in when the "expected" downward pressure comes into play?
Thanks
John

Q: I have held Chartwell for several years. I bought it because I thought as a leader in an industry with incredibly favourable demographics, there would be natural built-in growth drivers. I have concluded that the fact that they have not been able to capitalize on this inherent growth bias can only be attributable to the quality of it's management team. If this is not the case, what is the explanation for their under-performance relative to the rest of the market over the past several years? Also, can you see any possible share price catalysts in the near future that may influence my decision to bail or not....thanks...Glenn
