Q: Hi Peter & Ryan
This is just a comment but please feel free to deduct a question credit.
During difficult market times we send you questions so that we dont feel alone when markets are crashing. It's the time we need some "emotional support" and the Q & A provides just that for me.
Thank you kindly to you both for helping me navigate during these turbulent times. I bought GSY and I held even though it dropped after that.My cost was still in the region of about $28. I was tempted to sell when it dropped further but found solace in your answers to the stock. I am glad that its today up over 25%.... I can't thank you guys enough for providing me with the confidence to hang on to my positions and to cease opportunities during crazy market swings.
Once again, thank you and much appreciated.
Sincerely,

Q: Good afternoon,
I hope everyone is doing OK at 5i - sending my best regards.
May I please have an update on PLC.
Do you have any concerns?
Would you be a buyer now?
Thanks,
Patrick

Q: Any particular news or reason for the the strong increase in SHOP?
Q: I am thinking of selling CCL.B and buying ATA to crystallize a tax loss. Would you recommend this switch or is there another sector related stock that you would prefer vs ATA?
Thanks for your service
Thanks for your service
- H&R Real Estate Investment Trust (HR.UN)
- Andrew Peller Limited/Andrew Peller Limitee Class A Non-voting Shares (ADW.A)
- Savaria Corporation (SIS)
Q: I currently own positions in ADW.A , SIS and HR.UN in my TFSA.
I am thinking about adding to these positions.
What would be your order of preference with the fact that you do not plan on selling any of these in the next 5 years

Q: Hello 5i
I've been reviewing your answers regarding which stocks to buy in this environment and noticeable by its absence is SHOP. Given it has been a top performer in Canada for a few years and has suffered a drop with the others I'm surprised by its omission.
Care to comment?
Thanks
Dave

Q: My understanding is that People is a third party administrator.
Does this mean they would be unusually busy with the EI claims and dealing with Cocid -19 etc is actually a good revenue stream that would help their business?
It has been hit hard like all other stocks. But did well in the past economic crisis in 08/09. Is there any other issues that would impact their business ? It looks like it could be a good time to get in now ?

Q: Hi, Had the misfortune yesterday of buying NFI just hours before they announced the dividend cut and closure of plants for 2 week. Ouch.
Any views on the company? Any risks that they won't recover? My thesis was that they were in good shape with their order backlog and large public sector customer base...

Q: Wow, Boyd continuing to get crushed. Sure, people may be driving their cars less these days and therefore less car accidents, but once life returns to normal, I can't rally see Boyd's business taking that big of a longterm hit. Down nearly 50% from its ATHs. What are your thoughts why this one got hit so much?
Q: Please comment on Chairman's message this morning.Appears to have a negative impact-18% haircut. You still think it will recover in time despite a drop of some 66% over 1year,Thanks for u usual great services & views
- Freehold Royalties Ltd. (FRU)
- A&W Revenue Royalties Income Fund (AW.UN)
- Diversified Royalty Corp. (DIV)
- CI Active Canadian Dividend ETF (FDV)
Q: Realizing that you don't have a crystal ball can you suggest how safe you think the dividends are for DIV, FRU and A&W?
I am seeking dividends in a registered account and if the dividends from the above companies are threatened or cut I guess the stock price would would really collapse. I am thinking I could sell and replace them with a much safer dividend ETF like FDV (or anthing you suggest). On the other hand, if you think they might be
Ok, they sure are paying one heck of a dividend right now and if the stock price could recover in due course I would just be as well off continuing to hold.

Q: Hi,
Your opinion on KBL ? I would have thought it to hold up well as a much needed service. But it seems to be really getting hit hard today. Appreciate your perspective.

Q: There still has to be trucking at this time-Do you feel TFII would be a buy
Q: PKI: is starting to look good "for long-term hold" at some point; however, my concern is their dividend (low P.R.) and debt (very high): if things get worse they will need to conserve cash and worry about debt. repayment putting the dividend at risk, I would think?
Comments please.

Q: You have been very bullish on GSY, and even continue to recommend it highly. I currently hold 1.6% of my portfolio in GSY (down 50%) and am keen to add more given your strong feelings. However, I also note that you recently mentioned it has negative cash flow...can you expand on this, how they manage this, and how one can still be bullish on a high-growth company with negative cash flow? I'm also showing debt at ~ 2x market cap with a 6.5% dividend? The market thinks this is all unsustainable, convince me otherwise please!

Q: Is there any reason for ENGH decline, it was holding up pretty good.
Q: Whats expected from savaria next week? Thx
Q: Hi there,
GSY has been brutally beaten down. Is it worth stepping into at $32? If one had no position in it, would you recommend a full position here, quarters, thirds? How would you proceed with buying it here?
Thanks!
