Q: Hello 5i
I've never participated in a Dutch Auction before. Is it likely if I submitted my shares at say $42 they would be purchased? If so, in this market, there is a good chance I can buy them back for less than $42 on one of the many market dips we are seeing. I might be able to gain 5+% in the process. Your thoughts would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

Q: Hi Team,

I've been through many of these events over past 35 years and I really like to avg in while people are throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Could you guys start a list of 5i stocks which should torque back after this selloff, ie stocks like Shop, LSPD, or any others in your universe that fit this criteria.

I'm certain you will start to get similar questions and it would nice if you could publish an updated list online like the tax selloff list.

For now I'd like your top 5 that have potential for a strong bounce.

Thanks again for all your great work!

Chris M.

Q: Two questions: i) You have previously voiced concerns with respect to NFI production control issues and ii) there appear to have been several additional contract awards to NFI in recent weeks. Do you consider the production issues have now been addressed and no longer a concern and, do the additional/cumulative contract awards represent a significant improvement in this company's outlook and is this a decisive move by purchasers of mass transit vehicles? I appreciate there is unlikely to be a short term profit bump but if there has been a productive move or change in purchasing trends do you expect the benefits will mostly accrue to this company and in the longer term. Thank you for your response.

Q: Do these companies do the same thing? They look similar to me and both look crazy expensive. SHOP last 4 Q has made a tiny bit of profit while the other has lost money every Q.There a lot of tech companies selling at crazy multiples to EPS. I am hoping this COVID-19 scare will knock them down a lot; none the less, wondering about your take is on my commentary. Finding it hard to invest in this group.

Q: Hi guys,

I was looking at buying some SHOP if the panic continues. While GDP and retail would be hard hit, SHOP presence is mainly online, yet shipping is likely to be impacted perhaps. Do you see them as more or less impacted by the virus than traditional retailers or would there impact be similar to the impact on Amazon?

Thanks,
Jason

Q: Hello,
In the short term, I expect that Lightspeed revenues will suffer if restaurant transactions are severely impacted due to the coronavirus (as you intimated in an answer to someone's previous question). As well, it's likely that people will be avoiding casinoes if the virus becomes widespread in Canada.
Can you please give me your rationale for suggesting cost averaging (I assume you meant buying into) Great Canadian Gaming? Would you wait until after earnings are reported on March 3rd to do so?
I currently have a significant position in GC, but was actually considering exiting for a while. Either decision may be a roll of the dice, but I would appreciate your opinion.

Thanks.

Brad
