Q: I was looking at buying lightspeed for a long-term hold, but noticed more insider selling than buying the last 6-9 months; could I have your take on if this would be a good long-term hold despite this? Thank you
Q: Hi 5i
I've read 5i posts regarding insider selling recently The Ink insiders buying report indicates recent buying of about $3M by director.
In your opinion does this increase your confidence in the company's share price going forward and if so to what degree? Or is it simply not that relevant currently?
Would you add to existing position at these levels?
Thx
JIm

Q: Hello,
TFI has announced that they will begin to report in US dollars. Does that mean that they will also pay out dividends in US funds? If so I would journal the shares over to my US account. Thanks

Q: I was fortunate enough to purchase SHOP early on in what is now a RRIF and I sold some of the position to cover my initial cost. It has now grown to about 15% of the portfolio. I understand the merits of diversification but why sell a stock like this when not much else looks better and would be expensive. The odds of finding a similar story at its early stage are equally daunting. SHOP may at sometime fail to meet the inflated expectations but it is still worth holding even if it is suddenly worth just 12% of the portfolio. Tell me why I am wrong.
Q: Which one do you think offers the best return over the next 5 years.?
- Vanguard S&P 500 Index ETF (VFV)
- iShares Core S&P Total U.S. Stock Market ETF (ITOT)
- iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF (IEFA)
- iShares Core MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (IEMG)
Q: What is your view on a core portfolio of the following ETFs: IEMG (12%), IEFA (23%), ITOT/ VFV (40%). The US ETFs would be in RRSP to minimize fees and withholding taxes while VFV would be in a TFSA. Both accounts would be supplemented with individual stocks from the 5i balanced/growth portfolios and a select few US stocks (CRWD, U, SQ, PINS, PLTR, NVDA) for Canada/growth exposure. Do you prefer Vanguard’s comparative US ETFs over the ones mentioned or are you largely indifferent? Thanks!
Q: What is your understanding of the retracement to the stock from the $9.80 to now under $9.00 when principals are willing to pay more than the market gives. What is the market skeptical about ? What are the reasons you think for the lack of enthusiasm ? Is this because of a dilution effect or something?
Thank you for your guidance.

Q: Good morning 5i team
Regarding 'Lightspeed Capital' (Ref: Aug 5, 2020 press release), where Lightspeed announces up to US $50,000 funds per retail location, who is providing the funding? Lightspeed, Stripe, or a third party? I don't see any Loan Receivables on LSPD's December 31, 2020 Balance Sheet, and I hope this means Lightspeed is not bankrolling their clients. Thank you for your help on this.

Q: Hi 5i - I understand that WELL is a provider of OSCAR electronic medical records, with this open source software originally developed by McMaster University. Today I see that Alphabet is filing for a new IPO, OSCAR Health which aims to cash in on the surge for digital health services. Is there any connection between WELL and Alphabet on this or perhaps it's Alphabet tapping into the OSCAR open source software?
Q: Can I please have your take on the earnings, thank you. Wayne.
Q: Can you please explain this comment and how it is calculated: WELL expects 800% per share EBITDA synergies.
Q: Hi,
I'm finally just back above water on SIS with its recent highs. Typically, once I've ridden a stock to the low lows without selling and it comes back up, I sell once I break even - and consider myself lucky. But I know that's really the right move - it's the emotional move.
My ACB is $17 bucks. Do I keep my finger away from the sell button and hold on for more upside?
Thanks,
Robert

Q: Can you please comment on the share offering - what this means going forward. As well as what price would you be comfortable adding to LSPD If the shares dip.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: Peter; Now I know why LSPD has been weak lately- comments on the issue? Rod
Q: Just a heads up for your dividend increase alerts.

Q: I have WELL thanks to 5I bringing it to my attention but
there is one thing I really do not understand.
WELL has payed a premium of over 80% for CRH.
For many years, CRH has been struggling not been doing well (no pun intended).
5I Research has said in every commentary that it would SELL CRH and "not need to own"!
For WELL to buy a struggling company at an 80% premium, how can this
be a good deal?
Thanks and I am very interested to your response.

Q: Great call so far on WELL. Bought some on Friday. Looking to add. Is this a good time or wait for a drop. I guess my question is with the news today do you see a stronger move.
What is their goal. Get bigger in USA?
Thanks so much

Q: Hi, This morning's NR about the $295.5 mln Equity offering of WELL shares/subscription receipts for $9.80, through private placement by Li Ka-Shing and others, to finance proposed acquisition of CRH Medical in Cash for USD$4 - What does it mean ? Why at 25% Premium to 5 day WELL average market price ? Just trying to understand ..How does it impact the company and its shareholders/stock price ? Thanks
Q: In the past, 5i mentioned that LNF has hidden real estate value. Can you elaborate a bit more on this? I assume not enough real estate to spin out a REIT in the distant future.
Thanks!
Thanks!
