Q: Japan is showing some recent economic recovery. What are the factors responsible for that and is it sustainable? If yes than is it a good idea to add some exposure via an ETF?

Q: I had purchased this company after using stock screener which showed very low valuation. Recent annual earnings were also 26 cents. However, the stock keeps declining especially a large decline from $3 to $1 on very hight volume. Since then volumes have become small. What do you think? Do you think there is still potential. Also, after the annual results, I do not see any quarterly announcement even thought appratenly thier quarter ends Dec 31, 2023. Please provide any insights you may have. Thanks

Q: hello 5i:
we are (satisfied) holders of DIVO. Would like your take on IDVO and see its not listed in your data base yet. Is there another International ETF you'd recommend? We currently hold both VIGI and EFAV in the international space.
thanks

Q: What do you think of this ETF as a buy and forget type of holding? It would be held in TFSA & RRSP. Track record is fairly impressive. Do you see any drawbacks?
Thanks

Q: Hi Everyone,
I am very interested in FINALLY purchasing an actively managed Global/International ETF or Mutual Fund. I have had zero such exposure in my portfolio for many years and am also currently sitting with USD in my accounts.
I have been following Mr. Hodson for many years and even though based on my personal metrics/age I still cannot contain my high risk individual stock picking tendencies.
My Investment Advisor has loaded up for decades on 'SGA Global Equity Growth Fund' and some Lazard Freres managed fund but I am not tempted to do so.
I would greatly appreciate some of your favourite recommendations in this space.
Thank you,
Dean

Q: GAMB stock price action has been unimpressive yet analysts seem very positive on its future within the realm of gambling stocks. Welcome your thoughts.
Q: I one " strongly believes" that swiss money could be a protection against US or CDN dollars ( for various economical reasons..),would it then make sense to invest in a swiss multinational Cie to obtain benefits from a future growing exchange rate ,if yes what Cies (2-3) listed on US market would be interesting at the présent time?
Q: Hi Team,
I am looking to invest in Europe for the first time in a few years. I have held XEU and FEZ. The biggest difference between them seems to be that FEZ includes only 50 large stocks (ASML is 10%) and excludes the UK. Over the last 6 months, XEU has begun to outpace FEZ. Which one do you prefer for a new position? Or would you suggest splitting the investment into both?

Q: Hi, If I want exposure to Japan, should I buy Toyota or an ETF or something else?
Q: Could i please have your current thoughts on GCT for a long-term investment, and the expectations for its earnings on March 15. If its earnings do not meet market expectations and the stock sells off, would you see the sell-off as an opportunity to add to one's position. Thank you.

Q: If I understand things correctly the financial media has suggested that Japan may soon end their negative rate policy. If Japan starts increasing rates is this generally good for Japanese stock markets? They have already performed well the last year with basically no rate changes. Can you help explain the thinking behind rate movements and stock markets in Japan. I thought rising rates were generally not good for stock markets.
Q: Can you please give us your thoughts on CAMTEK and information about company. Do you consider as BUY OR AVOID. I am a long term investor.

Q: Can you please clarify what happened to investors with Russian stocks or ETFs, after Russia invaded Ukraine. I have read that investors lost all of their money. Was this due to the actions of Western governments? It is hard to believe that all Russian companies suddenly became worthless. I am not familiar with the specifics as to what happened and am trying to understand the facts.
My question is raised from the risks of investment in China. I currently own Emerging Markets ETFs with large holdings in China. If China was to do something (e.g. invade Taiwan) which upset the Western Governments, I would like to assess the risk that these investments could zero.
Is this a legitimate concern? What are the facts as to what actually happened? Is it possible that Chinese equities could also become worthless with a significant change in the geopolitical situation?
Your advice and insights are most appreciated and valued. Thank-you.
