Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: At current levels this ETF is down ~21% from highs set in January 2018. With a ~4% yield and 18B in net assets would you see the current levels as attractive to begin to step into the ETF? In your opinion is brexit already priced into this ETF, or would expect more downside should brexit go through? Your thoughts on the opposite scenario where Britain remains in the EU would also be appreciated. Thank you.

Q: For an investor looking for some direct exposure to India with a long term outlook, would you prefer FIH.U or INDY or do you have a different top pick? What about IFN which seems to have an indicated dividend yield of 13.4% Would be held in a registered account.

Q: Hi Guys. BNP Paribas
I think its one of Frances largest publicly traded banks. It has a pretty good track record of being profitable, has a pretty broad product line, Insurance, wealth management etc, pays a good dividend, looks reasonably valued.
Would you feel this is a safe investment at this price for a long term hold, and is there a risk of it getting hammered even more like the U.S. banks did in 2008.
thanks Gord

Q: Happy Holidays,
can I get your thought on the following:
1. why is ZID-T recent performance decent and FIH.U poor?
2. why is ZID-T recent performance decent and SP500 index poor?
I'm curious why ZID performance is relatively good as of late.

thanks

Q: The 5G build out is underway and Huawei is under investigation by the US government for Iran trade violations and the US government is pressuring governments around the world not to use Huawei because of espionage concerns; do you view Nokia as a buy because of these factors? I appreciate that US stocks are not your specialty but interested in your thoughts.

Q: Hi 5i,
I noticed that your recent answer to a question on Tencent came up under the TCEHY symbol for over the counter trading. The company is now trading on the NYSE under the symbol TME, which should make a better market for it in North America and free it up from the warnings about RSP suitability that usually come up with the over the counter stuff. Cheers!
