Q: I had this for some time in an unregistered account, it represents about 1% of a well diversified portfolio but it is down about 40%. Is it worth hanging on or better to take the losse and invest in something more productive?
Thank you.
Q: I have a position in FEZ but it doesn't include Great Britain which appears to be the strongest economy in Europe. Would you add an equal position in EWU? Alternatively, if one doesn't wish to buy US$ at this time, what about a position in XUS which appears to cover Great Britain and the developed countries of Europe and is available in C$? Is there a US$ equivalent to XUS? Thanks for your advice.
Q: I hold a small position in Gruma SAB de C.V.(GMK:US), the Mexican food supplier. It appears trading has been halted and I can't get any information from Yahoo or Bloomberg or any of my usual sources. Do you have any idea what is happening?
Q: For diversification, would you invest in all three, or would a combination of LYB with CE be preferable, provided these investments would have growth potential given current volatile markets and uncertain oil pricing.
Thanks for your insights!
Q: I hold almost all of the stocks in the 5i Model Portfolio, 10 stocks in the Growth Portfolio and 7 stocks in the Income Portfolio. I also have VUN for some US companies.
I believe I could add some international exposure and I have no bonds.
What would you suggest for an international ETF and bonds? Is this a good time to purchase bonds?
This would be a long term hold, about 10 years in my LIRA account.

Q: Hello 5i Team,
What do you know about this security? It is listed in Tsx but in US dollars! My discount broker told me I can buy the shares on line but I can't sell them myself. I have to go through the broker because of the U.S. pricing. Will it be a good diversification in a portfolio and what is the growth prospect? Thanks as always. Rossana.

Q: Hi,
I have some First Quantum (FM) in my portfolio that is down significantly. I am thinking about selling it for the tax loss and replacing with Glencore.
What are your thoughts on Glencore? What is the difference between GLNCY and GLCNF?
Q: Hello, could you please recommend a couple of etfs for european or global dividends - diversified or healthcare specific - which are relatively safe and reliable. thank you very much
Q: Looking for income and some future growth, would either of these qualify?
BP dividend the other day when I checked was 7.2%; HSBC 6%.
One anayst opined that oil would have to go to $25 before the BP dividend would be impacted. Thanks for your guidance here.
Q: Hello Team,
the stock has been in significant downfall, from $19 to$5, yet the financial statements appear acceptable. P/E ratio now stands at 5. I have a position in the stock and wonder whether manipulative action influences the trend(short sellers). Seeking Alpha had a scathing report on the company. What is your opinion? Hold or sell?
Your input is valuable!
Q: This US listed Dutch insurance company released earnings Thursday and to my inexperienced eye they seemed OK. The market thought otherwise. I can't find an obvious reason for the 20% sell off in the stock price and you would think the dividend increase would help not hurt. What if anything am I missing?
Q: What small/mid cap European fund/ETF(s) would you recommend at this time. I am interested in diversifying geographically a portion of my investments
Q: Good day! You are often asked for the names of Canadian stocks that have US exposure so we can take advantage of the US growth/strength but with a Canadian stock...such as BIN & Stella Jones. I wonder if you might be able to provide the names of a few stocks that you like that would provide exposure to Europe. I can think of Dream Global as an example.
Thank you!
