Q: Hi Peter and Staff,

Love your service ! Have recommended it to my investment club.

Equities are down today. The "correction" is here - and may provide buying opportunities.

My question. I am a believer in seasonality and DRIP programs. One of the most significant recurring seasonal events is the best six months of the market to be in (Late October - Early May).

For a long term buy-and-hold strategy, would it not make sense to participate in automatic DRIP's during the worst 6 months (forced buying during seasonal dips), and leave the DRIP programs and bank the dividends during the best six months, and then use the accumulated cash to re-balance/purchase on good days (like today).

Thanks !

Q: IPL is down 37% today. Is this related to the flooding in Alberta? This is a huge drop. Is it a buying opportunity. Your thoughts please

Q: Hi Peter and team,
I have been following Premium Brands for a while now. I like the juicy dividend yield on this one, yet the payout ratio is still quite reasonable. I already have plenty of financials, telcos, etc. in my dividend portfolio. Would Premium Brands be a good addition as a means to diversify my holdings? Many thanks.

Q: I purchased BMO equal weight utility index etf zut about 18 months ago. It has dropped steadily. It is about a 15 % allocation of my dividend portfolio and the only utility holding. What should I expect from this over the next few years? Is it worth keeping?

Q: About fixed income. Should I sell my corporate bond CBO, HAB and XCB etf ? They gave me 5-6% for the last 3 years but now are in a serious downtrend in 2013. At this point would GIC, or individual bonds be better ? Also, same question about CPD ?

Q: Peter I purchased CBO - 5 year laddered corporate bonds ETF. It has dropped in price significantly in the past month. My purpose for buying this eft was for the low risk and 4.4 % percent monthly payout however all gains have been wiped out by the price erosion. Is there further downside on this eft? Should I move to another name. Thank You.

Q: Hi Peter:

What are your opinions on closed ednd funds that short long bonds to minimize loses due to rising intrest rates. Examples would be MIG.UN or MBB.UN. These type of CEFs pay god monthly income.

Q: Hi Peter and team

As I sit and watch my portfolio go down because of the rotation out of dividend stocks, I wonder who the sellers are and what they are doing with the money. Presumably they bought REITs for income and where are they going to find anything equivalent? As I try to decide what to do (if anything) I would appreciate any insights you have to offer. Thanks

Ross
