Q: Sentry select diversified income fund series x NCE1032 Buy, hold sell or sell. I hold it for income reasons andI would appreciate your comments.
Love this investment site.
Many thanks.
Q: Thanks for your answer on ATP preferred shares.
However, I'd like your thoughts about the fact that these are "cumulative" prefs. and how that relates to their safety status. Unpaid preferred dividends will accrue and must be paid before any future common dividend.
Am I understanding this properly ?
Thank you again for your comments.

Q: Dear 5i, thank you for the service that you provide! My question pertains to Transalta: do you think that its partnership with MidAmerican Energy could make a positive difference in the company's future?
Q: Cpx has fallen in price to where its dividend is over 6%.
Is Cpx a wise investment for yield at this time? Do you expect still further falls in price?

Q: HI again, I just had some bonds come due and once again am sitting on cash. I am hesitant to buy back into the bond market. It seems an investor has to go out 6 years or more in corporate bonds just to get some yield. So my question is should I bite the bullet and go out 6 + years or more, or perhaps look at an ETF such as XCB or CHB as a replacement. I have also been looking hard at ZWB as an alternative. Thanks for your time.
Q: CLC has high debt, high P/B and only rated C+ but it is in one of the few sectors in Canada that appear to have some life. What are your thoughts on CLC for the longer term?
