Q: What are your thoughts on Enbridge and Pembina Pipelines now after the big drop? Is it a good entry point or will there be more weakness if the price of oil continues to drop? Also, Will they be affected if interest rates start to rise in the States next year? Which one do you prefer?

Thanks

Q: Merry Christmas Peter and Team.
With your help the stock portion of my portfolio has grown and I need to add about 5% to my bond portion.
With no room in a sheltered account TFSA or RRSP could you suggest an ETF or other investment to add bond type safety in a non sheltered account.

Q: Hi Peter and Crew,

I rarely ask questions as the database provides most of what I need. I searched the DB for DIV-T prior to asking this question.

The question is for my TSFA. I am into dividends and DRIP opportunities. Many of the companies I love (Cineplex, K-bro, Badger) don't provide a large enough dividend to purchase a share - if I maintain a diversified TSFA of about 10 stocks. DIV-T may be a candidate due to the higher dividend and lower share price ($2.66). Could you recommend a few others in the category of a reasonable dividend (5% ?) and low share price, that you would be happy with for a long erm hold. The 2015 TSFA time is approaching and I am researching opportunities.

LOVE your wonderful service !

Q: Hello 5i team,
AltaGas at $37 today, is very close to a 52-week low. The P/E has ballooned to 32X. The RSI shows it below 30, indicating it is oversold. For someone waiting to enter this sector, this feels like a good entry point, or is it wise to wait until January 2015 to see things settle down with oil and to avoid ``catching a falling knife``?
thx, and I am loving this website!

Q: I have most of the stocks in your Income & Model portfolio, now I would like some US exposure, but do not have a US trading account. Would you suggest a US ETF, that I can purchase in Can$. Also being the Can$ is going down, would this be a good idea right now?
Thank you for this wonderful and informative service.

Q: Could I please have your thoughts on the direction (down) of this fund and whether it is likely to continue. I have held it for years and am now slightly underwater on it - but do not want to lose more.
My objective right now is to raise cash to hopefully take advantage of buying opportunities in some of the areas that have beenb brutalized.

Thanks.

Q: Good Morning, CSE now yields 8.25%. Any risk to dividend cut? Do they have any material exposure to the energy sector? I have a small weighting and am thinking of adding more to my income portfolio.

Q: Hi, Further to Paul's question on IPL. In a RRIF still showing a capital gainon IPL would it be wise to unload it and turn to other sectors for income, possibly CSH.UN? What would you recommend for income now? Sold ALA yesterday thankfully. This market is starting to feel like 2008. Thanks for the excellent service.

Q: Hi Peter: I generally just read the answers to questions that others ask and have found your responses very helpful. However, today I would like to ask about ala. I'm not quite sure whether it is regard as a utility or an energy infrastructure entity. I know their activities to some extent fall into both camps, but where would you put the company in this regard. I don't believe it is significantly affected by the price oil (although it may be by gas prices) but it is obviously falling in sympathy with oil.

Q: IPL down quite a bit today. Is there news or is it oil price related? what is the relationship between pipelines and oil price? I would have thought that pipelines make money moving oil and if the price of oil is down, then wouldn't more oil (or at least the same amount) of oil move? Or is the fear that some projects have/will be cancelled because of the low oil prices?

Hoping your can clear this up for me (and likely others). Thanks.
