Q: Cogeco has by far the lowest market cap of the telcos, yet its share price dwarfs the big players. Can you explain this? Please rank these companies from least to most risk if purchased now.

Q: Can you please provide your analysis of whether AI software developments will negatively impact the businesses of OTEX and ENGH? Both companies seem solid, reasonably well-managed, and pay nice dividends to compensate for their low growth. Should I be concerned that their revenues will decline over time such that my retirement income will be in jeopardy? Should I move on to a more stable dividend payer, for example FTS, that is less likely to be hurt by AI?

Q: My daughter is starting her TFSA. I have suggested a couch potato strategy to start - can you recommend a good all in one ETF that rebalances and any suggestions for 1-2 buy and hold Canadian stocks if she wants to try that out too.

Q: I am assuming CPX was down Friday on heavy volume in response to Trump’s initiative to impose a cap on residential price increases, and require tech companies to pay for their own power centers . There was a concurrent selloff in independent US listed power companies as well.
How much exposure to the US market does CPX have?

Q: Could you please provide your analysis of Caterplillar. Do you like it and believe that this stock can continue to outperform the broader market after a huge run in 2025, being the Best stock in DOW ?

We already own Finning International, having taken a 4% position, just before recent quarterly results.

Could you contrast the two companies from stability/growth/valuation perspective ?

Does it make sense to own both and if so, what would be a reasonable combined weighting for a Balanced like portfolio ?

Thank You

Q: I am considering adding to each of the above companies. Can you discuss the EPS, and sales % growth prospects. If you had to provide these %'s for 5 years out, what would they be? Can you also discuss PE's, trailing and forward and their relation to both the projected EPS growth and historical valuations? Please deduct as many question credits as necessary. Thank you.

Q: I bought VDY, primarily for the dividend, but capital appreciation has been much better than expected. Now I'm looking for a Canadian complement. I note that CDZ also contains financials and energy, but at fairly low percentages, and it seems to cover other sectors well, perhaps a bit better than VDY. Do you think CDZ would be the best complement, or is there another Canadian ETF that would fit nicely beside VDY. Again, the dividend is appreciated, but capital appreciation and low down-side risk would also be very welcome, in addition to sector balance. Thank you for all your great service.

Q: I own both.
I would appreciate if you could compare telus to BCE at the same point before BCE cut it's dividend with regards to similarities / differences , position, cash flow, ability to pay dividend. I am worried that Telus will do the same and cut it's dividend in 2026. Is Telus at the same teetering point or better off ?

Q: Hello 5i team,
Gibson Energy's yield is currently nearing 7%, quite tempting for a dividend investor. Can I get your opinion on the sustainability of this dividend? What is the payout ratio based on earnings and cash flow? I already have positions in ENB, TRP, PPL, KEY and ALA. Would taking a position in GEI reduce my risk, or would I be better off topping up the other positions?
Many thanks for your valuable advice!
Brian
