Q: Wonder if Game Host is worth holding. I'm down about 17% and it's about 5% of my portfolio. What are chances they might cut dividend? Is it worth adding to position?
Q: I am becoming interested in Enbridge as it gets close to 50 dollars. I was trying to find the payout ratio and I found it on a site it was paying out 102%. Is this correct? I find this hard to believe as everyone like to recommend this stock which would not wise if it cant cover dividend. Where do I find accurate pay out ratios?
Q: I own AGU for income, but am concerned with the POT merger. Would either CHE>UN or RUS be a better replacement for income and if so which one do you prefer? Thanks
Q: I have 100K to invest, with the requirement that it all be in dividend tax credit eligible stocks, income and minimal overall risk are more important than growth in this account. I would like to keep it to no more than 10 names at approx 10K each, so far I have come up with BNS, CM, ENB, TRP,BCE,FTS,NWC, T, ALA,SLF. Do you have any concerns or suggested additions.

iShares Core MSCI Global Quality Dividend Index ETF (XDG)
Q: I know these iShares ETFs were just released, but wondering if you were able to form an opinion on these based on its current holdings. The MER seems quite reasonable and am wondering you feel these would be suitable to gain diversification outside of Canada.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: I am interested in investing in dividend growers that 5-6 years from now would be yielding in the 4 to 5% range. At that time I would change from DRIP to cash payments. Therefore I would accept a lower yield now but would grow to that range. What would you suggest?
Thank you

Q: Firstly, thank you for your insight into the various securities. BRP has offered to purchase up to 350M subordinate voting shares on an Auction Tender at between 37 and 44 per share in increments of .10 until July 17th (unless withdrawn or extended.) Is it best to hold? Can you offer guidance? Thank you again ... Marty
Q: Would you be comfortable purchasing IPL @ the current price?
If you choosing between IPL or ALA, which would you pick?
Thank you,
Martin

Q: I'm setting up an income portfolio. What would you think of ENB, IPL, ALA, PEY, and Vet comprising 10% of the portfolio? The utility sector will be 15%, as in a separate question.
Q: I'm retired and am interested in building an income portfolio. A recent contributor provided a list of 6 utilities Aqn, Bep.un, Bip.un, KWH.un, FTS and VNR for a total of 15%. 5I was OK with the choices. I've been considering ZWU @ 15% for the utility sector. Comments, ideas please.
Q: why does this company continue to fall and be unloved? dividend investor Paul
Q: PZA was moving up nicely the past month, but this past 1-2 weeks has come right back down. Anything going on that might be causing investor concern?

Q: What is your opinion of Alaris
Q: On June 17th there was an article in the Globe entitled " Are these preferreds a 5 percent solution", by Rob Carrick. It spoke of many different perpetual preferreds paying close to 5%. What is your opinion as to how any perpetual preferreds would fit into any investment portfolio in today's investment climate. Would you ever recommend them?
Thank you

Q: What is your opinion of ZWU as a long term hold? Do you see any reason to hold this instead of a basket of utilities on their own?

Q: Hi 5i, I own IPL since March 2005 in my RIF at cost of $9.63 so I have seen its ups and down for long time but now I am not so sure if I want to keep it, I am thinking of switching to CPX, similar price and dividend, what do you think of the idea or do you have any other suggestions for me. Thank you for your valuable service. M
Q: for my sons RESP can I get your opinion of the 3.25% 5 year GIC being offered by Home Capital? The amount is far below the $100,000 threshold.
Is a safe 3.25% a reasonable rate of return for an RESP that I need in 5 years time? Alternatively, would I be better to off with the investment strategy your team outlined which would have a higher potential yield but principle risk.
Your thoughts are appreciated,
Don
