Q: I would like to get both these stocks up to 5% levels within my portfolio. I'm quite sure you are fine with these two businesses. However, being aware that the Brookfield accounting methods sometimes get negative comments, would owning a total of 10% weighting within the Brookfield family concern you?

Thanks.

Q: You have indicated a preference for T over BCE based on growth. When I look at the analysts estimates, the earnings growth for T is 5.6% and BCE 4.6%. The forward P/E is T 16.3 and BCE 14.6. However the 1 year return to the analysts median target price is T 6% and BCE 16%. The analysts seem to feel BCE is currently undervalued. In your assessment do you disagree with the analysts assessment? Are you looking at a different time frame?

Q: Regarding Michael question and Grant's comment this morning, I frequently buy and sell tdb8150 to park money for very short intervals and was told by TD representatives that it is like a daily saving account and there is no penalty whatsoever for holding even for just a day.

Q: For a 8/10 year time period and about $20,000 what 4/5 stocks would you recommend for high dividend and security, including banks and others in order of preference.
Many thanks as always.

Q: Just a comment to Michael about TD investment savings account TDB8150. In the small print there is a note that there is a fee for selling within 30 days of a purchase. I think it is either a flat rate or percentage (I don't recall), but it is something to look in to if you plan to move money in and out in a short time frame.

Q: My questions is about REIT investing. Seems that REI.un, BEI.un's 5 year return is cyclical, could be just back to original value whereas CAR.un and IIP.un value climb nicely over a 5 yr. period. Any difference in selecting these REIT's ?

Q: Hi Team,
I heard about TD INVESTMENT SAVINGS ACCOUNT TDB8150 from a friend. TD Direct Investing says it is a no-load mutual fund, $10 per unit, currently paying 1.35%, and is RRSP eligible. (CIBC Investors Edge calls it a front load fund.) At TD it appears you can buy and sell at will with no commissions. Does this look like a reasonable place to park short-term cash in an investment account without risk of loss in principle?
Many thanks, Michael

Q: Hello
You consistently say Pizza Pizza is good for income but little growth expected. But I see John Heinzl is selling it out of his model portfolio in the Globe and Mail. It is now down 30% in my income portfolio and I now wonder at the advisability of just continuing to hold. Just how sustainable do you think the dividend is over time? Would you expect the company to react positively to restore growth? If sold what "safe" dividend stock would you buy with a comparable dividend?
Thank you .... Paul K

Q: Hello and Greetings,
Globe and Mail - Aug 28th 2018.
DR makes it on the Top 20 SHORTED companies for August.
"....stocks targeted by short sellers under-perform on average"
My question: So why did DR Just hit 52 week high?
What are we to think ? Should we treat short selling as "noise" or does it herald a medium / longer term decline?

Cheers
