Q: Want to pass along info from BIP investors relations regarding Unit Split and creation of an Exchange Corporation (BIPC) on how it affects the Brookfield Infrastructure Partners Exchange LP units holder:

1. LP units are exchangeable to BIP.UN 1:1 for 7 years,
2. The exchange is deemed disposition, i.e. taxable, last day to exchange for 2019 tax year is 12/27,
3. LP unit holder will NOT get BIPC shares upon split, only BIP.UN holders get BIPC shares,
4. LP units holder will get equivalent value of additional LP units instead.

Happy Holidays and all the best in 2020 !!

Q: A question about the casino company Game Host. My father's sold his Cineplex position and his looking for another stock with (1) a high yield (2) a monthly dividend. His bonds are not paying enough. With oil back over 60$, do you think that Game Host properties should see better traffic soon? We don't hope for capital appreciation, but want a balance sheet that has more chance to improve than weaken. Thank you!

Q: I have a balanced and diversified portfolio.
In reviewing my holdings, these two stocks are at the low end of my portfolio %. I have money to invest, so my options could include rolling one into the other to increase my holding %. , or adding $ to one or the other.
I see ALA has restructured and their outlook looks positive whereas ITP is OK for income but not growth. Your thoughts and recommendations?

Q: Looking at using some cash in our RIF accounts (mostly a mix of Income/balanced portfolios) to boost the yield a bit and am considering AW.un or NFI. With price pullbacks, both currently have a higher than average dividend (sustainable ?) and, it appears, some cushion against any significant capital loss, (barring any new bad news). Do you think these are now good candidates for an income portfolio ? Alternative suggestions?

Q: Hi,

Having sold DRG.UN & CGX, I'm sitting on some cash.

Could you give me your top 5 relatively safe, relatively high dividend/distribution paying choices to replace these?

Sector is not important. Getting a benefit from companies whose price is depressed due to tax loss selling is a bonus but not critical.

Thanks,

Gord

Q: Good afternoon folks
With a better China/US trade agreement which of these would you expect to do better from here? I own a bit of DOL but have watched DLRT for awhile now.
Thank you for a good year and all you do for us! You have "steered my ship" for over 5 years now! Happily I am up 60%. All by shaving at highs and buying at lows(mostly but of course not always). I only added just under 2% of new money.
Thank YOU and MERRY CHRISTMAS
