Q: The gap between these two tickers seems to continue to widen.

BIP.UN yields over 4.5% and BIPC 3.9%. Even with the dividend tax credit, the aftertax dividend cash flow is much high from BIP.UN. Am I going crazy? I have been wanting to step in here for a long time (definitely miss the "boat to a certain extent) but why wouldn't I invest in BIP.UN?

Q: FYI No investors'love, but did well these 2 days after Q results. However co.loves as bought back 3m shares =$17.6m during the year. This morning Desjardins recommends Buy with a TP of $7.50,the CTP is %7.13.Its reasons are cheap,6.12% div(recently increased),diversified sources of revenue & big cut in costs which will generate free cash flow..Also co states a recent agreement with DOL for in store music & digital display solutions for its 1300 stores.

Q: I hold the following shares (among others) in my various (RSP & TFSA) accounts. I'm a buy-and-hold investor, strongly leaning to dividend payors or preferably dividend-increasers.
These companies have all recently cut or suspended dividends, either as Covid-19 responses or otherwise.
ET have not cut or suspended (yet), but neither ET nor CSW have paid recent special dividends as they sometimes have in the past.
I purchased these originally on the strength of the companies' long-term potential, management strength and abilities, and growth or at least sustainability.
How would you rank or position these now in light of recent dividend cuts or suspensions, given that they are all underwater, some significantly, or at best more or less flat (ET), after mostly holding periods of 5 years or longer?
Which ones is it time to dump?

Q: Portfolio approx $600000. 2 TFSA,2 RRIF, C$ non registered& U$ non registered account.
Percentages do not include $51000 fixed annual pension income.
ATE-2.95%: BEP.UN-4.15%: BYP.UN-6.14%:
BTO-0.37%: BYD-4.35%: CPX-7.34%: BRP-2%
DSG-9.88%: EIF-3.19%: ENB-8.83%: KXS-3.21%: LSPD-12.62%: PKI-5.55%: PPL-4,58%:
REAL—2.51%: TFII-4.05%: VFV-2.79%: VGG-6.01%: VIG-4.18%: VOO-2.45%: XBC-1.46%
ENB & PPL together make 12.88%. ENB has a nice 7% div. I’m thinking ENB doesn’t have that much growth in near term ( next year). By selling part of my position in ENB I would reduce risk in the energy/utility sector but lose the 7% div.
Your thoughts. If I do make this move any thoughts on where these funds might be deployed? Also your thoughts on this portfolio going forward for the next year or two. A lot of work managing my portfolio, trying to step back a bit.
Thank you for your great incites. Have been very happy with your ideas, thoughts and service over the pass 3 years.

Q: I have room for 5 or 6 more companies in my RRSP account. I am looking to add dividend paying stocks with some growth as I will not be needing this money for 10 years or so - thinking of AT&T, Pepsi, Sysco, Sylogist and OTEX - what do you think of these AND can you recommend any others that I can consider ? Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Q: I hold a 5.9% position in ZWU in a registered account. I have surplus US cash in a non-registered account to put to work and was thinking of XLU which yields approx 3.4%. I realize this distribution will be treated as income by CRA [I am retired - low tax bracket] but it seems better than letting the funds just sit. If you could offer other suggestions I'd appreciate them. Thanks.....

Q: Hi Peter.
What is your thoughts on Evertz business and the current valuation.

They generate alot of free cash flow, have no debt, post high returns on invested capital and have shown modest growth.

Why does the market not give this tech beauty a little more love ? Seems like the price gets "stuck" and there is not a fundamental group of investors behind the equity who will bridge the value into the price. Your thoughts please.

Respect

Q: Can I have your opinion on 3 quite safe and high paying dividend stocks. I have 30k in a savings account at 2 % being taxed and I have room in my TFSA, but I really feel better with quality dividends rather than risk at this time.
Thanks, J
