Q: what is your outlook for AQN as a result of their proposal? It seems the investors do not like it at all. Is it time to move on to something less convoluted or am I overly concerned.

Q: Hello 5i: I have a 5% position in IPL and my cost avg is $ 25.95. If we assume that Pembina offer is accepted @ 0.5 shares current offer .. is it best to take a capital loss and sell now, or stay with Pembina as it seems to be a better managed company and possibly gain in both share price and dividend distribution.
Thanks
Carlo

Q: I own a large amount of shares in IPL and also own shares in BIP
I ‘m debating if I should sell at the current market price that is higher of either bid or wait it out to see if BIP makes a higher offer. If I wait it out and Pembina offer is accepted I would loose a nice amount of cash.
I gather this will play out soon maybe as early as next week.
What do you recommend.
Thanks

Q: I own TRP, ENB and PPL in my regular investment account. In my TFSA I hold small positions in KEY and SIS. I am retired and looking for income primarily but think 4 pipelines is probably too many. I am thinking of selling either PPL or KEY and buy more SIS. Thoughts and what pipeline would you sell?

Q: Could you suggest a buy-and-forget type US dividend stock that would offer some dividend growth and share-price growth for a 10 year hold? Already own MSFT, AAPL, INTC, NVDA, JNJ on the US side.
PFE?
Thanks
PFE?
Thanks
Q: Good afternoon,
Given recent corporate developments at PPL - would you view it as having much more room for price appreciation or view primarily as a hold for income?
Thank you

Q: What are your top safe dividend paying stocks? Only interested in the dividend and want to protect capital as much as possible. Looking to park some money for a while. Safety is the prime concern.
Q: To my knowledge both of these companies are in the specialty insurance business. Given that TSU is wholly owned by BAM.A (3.5% of my overall holdings; overlap concerns?), which do you prefer for a conservative investor and why. What would be their outlook considering an post-COVID opening world and over the next 5 yrs? Is there another name you prefer more in this specialty space?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: Do you feel today is a good entry point for the big Canadian banks? Would you please rank them in order of preference at current valuations. Also, please do similarly for US banks. Please deduct question credits at your discretion.
Q: Hi,
please provide your comments regarding TOU's announced acquisition on Friday. Given the increase in share price, it looked like the market like it.
Also, can you provide the % of revenues derived from gas vs. oil?
Thanks,
Dan

Q: LIF announced:
"TORONTO, May 28, 2021 /CNW/ - Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation (the "Corporation") announced that Iron Ore Company of Canada ("IOC") has declared a dividend payable on June 25, 2021. The Corporation's portion is U.S. $60,400,000 or about CDN. $73.0 million"
This is over a dollar per share by itself (their last "quarterly" dividend), and doesn't account for royalties. Yet there is no announcement of their new "quarterly" dividend, or a date for same. Is there any further information besides this? ... and is this not a bit odd for them not to be able to make some decision in this regard, given that they had committed to a quarterly dividend? Perhaps you could suggest a reason(s) for this "delay"?
Thanks!

Q: A question on PPL, specifically regarding the potential for it having to tap the debt markets, possibly in a very material way, given its ambition to close on IPL, build out LNG growth with its plans announced yesterday, and its rumoured desire to bring TMX in-house as well. Could they actually achieve this - financially - from the base where they sit today? Would it be wise to take a position in this ambitious set of (possible) plans, or would the debt simply be too much for the rating agencies to like, and therefore be an overhang on the stock?

Q: 2 questions for a margin account with 10+ year time horizon:
(1) What 10 great Canadian income stocks would be the core of your margin account?
(2) What 6 core great Canadian balanced stocks would you hold (must have a dividend no matter how small)?
Please rank from with best first; selection ignores sector and cap size.
Thanks!!

Q: You have mentioned several times that it is expected that later this year the big banks will be given a free hand in allowing dividend increases, is there any analyst guidance/guesses out there on what sort of increase is 'expected' from the banks over the next 1-2 years (and may be baked in to the share price at the moment). Or is it expected to be more a case of just going back to a more normal cycle of increases rather than catching up.

Q: Good morning. Watching Saputo ease after recent annual reporting. Encouraging that there didn't appear to be much news slippage prior to the release.
Interested to know what the current forward p/e estimates are for some of the consumer defensive names including SAP, L, WN, PBH, HLF and MFI.
Also could you please rank in terms of estimated dividend growth going forward - best to least.
Thanks so much!
