Q: I own small positions in Fiera, Firm Capital, Alaris and Mcan for their outsized yields. I'm close to even on three and down 5% on Fiera (8 5% yield).
Would you keep them as long term investments and please rank them. Thanks.

Q: Looking for a few ideas of beaten up 3% or more dividend payers? I already own SLF, WCP, and ZEB. Current portfolio holdings are made up 19% energy, 35% tech, 15% financial services, 20% consumer cyclicals, less than 5% in the rest. Not too worried about divirsification, I sleep well even when blood is running in the streets.

Q: I would like to sell BEPC to lock in a loss and then rebuy in 30 days. Do you see anything from the company or the market that might result in an increased price in that time period. Can you recommend a similar company to purchase for the 30 days that would reflect any market fluctuations. I already own AQN in this space.

Q: Can you give me your read on ZPAY. Looking for an income component of my portfolio with a good capital preservation. The dividend seems high, which I like, but based on their holding leaves me wondering where the revenue is coming from and will it be a safe allocation of capital. Your comments on it trading below NAV would also be appreciated.

Q: I own ZWU in an RRSP account. Today's market price is basically the price I paid to buy it. I own it for the healthy monthly dividend it pays (7% annually). With interest rates about to increase this spring and at least 3 interest rate hikes expected this year, how would those rate hikes affect the price of ZWU? Would I be better off selling ZWU and then investing the proceeds in ZWC which is more diversified in its holdings? My investment time horizon is 10+ years. Thank you.

Q: For context, this is a locked in RSP which will likely turn into a LIF and I am looking at this in terms of a dividend stream. Cashed in some cnq and have cash to deploy.

Of those mentioned, for relative safety of capital, good yield and yield appreciation, how would you rank these (cdn or us it does not matter). For eg, ABBV has an attractive yield but I am unsure of patents expiring etc. You thoughts.

Q: Where/how could one accurately determine the dividend payout ratio... It seems like an important fact, that is often not listed and often hard to obtain. I've read some Earnings are calculated after perferred dividends. Referencing GEI and Pembina, what are their annual divdend payout ratios?
