Q: RDVY etf doesn't get brought up as much when compared with S&P500 (i.e. VOO). This ETF also has outperformed S&P500 over last 5 years. Would RDVY do better in an inflationary environment? What are you general thoughts?
Q: Good morning,
While it's early days for this company, do you have any insights. Also has Suzanne Riddell Rose enjoyed the same success in her companies as her husband ?
Thank you.

Q: I have a very small holding of ALA in a diversified portfolio. What's the outlook for ALA? Should I sell my small holding and replace with something else that you'd recommend.

Q: Hi, PZA continues to march along nicely while providing a high dividend. Technically it looks just fine. Your views on its outlook as a hold?

iShares S&P/TSX Canadian Preferred Share Index ETF (CPD)
-
BMO Laddered Preferred Share Index ETF (ZPR)
Q: I'm thinking of switching my CPD to ZPR because the return of ZPR has been significantly higher and the dividend is slightly higher. Curious what your thoughts are. Do you prefer one over the other? Any reason to own both - half in one, half in the other?
Q: Given diminishing growth in China, is it time to pull the pin on LIF? What are your general thoughts on this stock? Thank you.
Q: Would you consider these two energy/pipeline stocks as a reasonable holding in one portfolio for several years? With the trends to devalue energy stocks due to climate changes and relevant government policies some investors or investment firms would start exiting such stocks. I myself , despite the all negative sentiment for energy stocks cannot see that combustion powered engines will disappear from roadways of North America ,Europe, Asia or Africa any time soon. Will they all be replaced by " inexpensive" electric engine driven vehicles? I can hardly see it. Perhaps in 50 years? What is your opinion on this matter?
Q: I sold 33% of my shares in Shaw in March, shortly after the take over bid was announced. At an ACB of $22, it's a nice gain. Given the current price of $36, do you think it's worth the risk of holding out for another $4. A bird in the hand .......

Q: Some analysts are wary of Enbridge's payout ratio vis a vis its dividend. Can you advise what the true payout ratio is, and in your view is there any concern it can't be met? Thanks, Bill.
Q: Currently have ~10% loss on T. Considering taking the loss and buying VZ in its place. Any concerns with this swap?

Q: Hi 5iResearch team
I am in the process of doing re-weighting. I know the above etfs. The US bond etf (VGSH) has very low interest yield compared to the CAD ones (XSB, ZCS, and ZCM).
1. Are there other US bond etfs that are similar to the above CAD ones in terms of yield and risk?
2. ZUP is in CAD$ and US$. Can you please recommend two more (CAD or US) etfs that are similar to ZUP in terms of yield and risk?
Thank you for the great service.

Q: The above ETFs represent my current holdings for Intn’l Equity exposure and are held in my RRSP. I am able to add to my Intn’l exposure in my RRSP and would like your recommendation for a C$ ETF that might fill in any gaps that my current holdings don’t cover or alternatively I could just add to my current holdings.
I do not need to RIF for 8 more years but some dividend yield would be preferable as I do draw out my div/int earnings annually.
