Q: Got a bit of cash to invest for mid to long term in a non-secured account. . Looking at these two companies. The dividend and capital appreciation appear to be good. Your overall views? Thanks in advance.
Q: MKP this company seems to be a steady climber with a great dividend , is it one to buy or is there better ones in the same sector to pursue ? thanks
Q: With a cash balance in a USD non-registered account, I would like to add a U. S. stock paying at least a 4% dividend. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Q: Hello,
In the same vein as my question about BCE/T/RCI.B....
I own BIP.UN, BEP.UN and AQN in the same income-generating portfolio, around 16% of the total.
Does owning AQN simply duplicate the same space that BEP.UN does better, or is there some value to owning both?
Thanks again.

Q: these two companies pay high dividends, are either of them secure for their dividends going forward ? thanks
Q: Hello.
I have owned all 3 of BCE, T and RCI.B for years in an income-generating portfolio of dividend stocks, around 12% of the total.
Considering selling RCI.B and splitting the proceeds between BCE and T, to simplify and to capture more income from BCE and more growth from T.
Does holding RCI.B provide some "diversification" value amongst the three?
Thanks as always.

Q: My acb is $10. I've been watching the stock fall over the last year. Would you sell to lock in gains, or continue to hold. What is your outlook for the stock. Thanks
Q: Hi Everyone at 5i!!! I am looking to add some income trusts to my retirement portfolio to create some dividend income. What are your thoughts on the following as possible candidates: AD, FRU, and KEY. Cheers, Tamara
Q: Hi 5i; do you think TOU has a high probability of going up in the next week, and if so, by how much?
Q: are the dividends fairly safe on these two, and which one would be the better investment? thanks
Q: which of these two would you own first and why ? thanks
- Alaris Equity Partners Income Trust (AD.UN)
- Fiera Capital Corporation Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (FSZ)
- MCAN Mortgage Corporation (MKP)
- Firm Capital Mortgage Investment Corporation (FC)
Q: I own small positions in Fiera, Firm Capital, Alaris and Mcan for their outsized yields. I'm close to even on three and down 5% on Fiera (8 5% yield).
Would you keep them as long term investments and please rank them. Thanks.

Q: AMT is a long time stallworth being pounded, like many others. But how would you feel about it's valuation in this peculiar market? Wait for it to consolidate?
Q: Looking for a few ideas of beaten up 3% or more dividend payers? I already own SLF, WCP, and ZEB. Current portfolio holdings are made up 19% energy, 35% tech, 15% financial services, 20% consumer cyclicals, less than 5% in the rest. Not too worried about divirsification, I sleep well even when blood is running in the streets.
- Brookfield Infrastructure Corporation Class A Exchangeable Subordinate Voting Shares (BIPC)
- Brookfield Infrastructure Corporation (BIPC)
Q: Good afternoon,
As a follow up to a previous question about an infrastructure investment. Would you buy BIPC in the US or Canadian version? And, would you hold it in a registered or non-registered account? I would appreciate a brief explanation. Thank You.

- Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN)
- Brookfield Renewable Corporation Class A Exchangeable Subordinate Voting Shares (BEPC)
Q: I would like to sell BEPC to lock in a loss and then rebuy in 30 days. Do you see anything from the company or the market that might result in an increased price in that time period. Can you recommend a similar company to purchase for the 30 days that would reflect any market fluctuations. I already own AQN in this space.
Q: How "safe" is the dividend? Thanks
Q: Hello Peter,
For the oil and gas sector, what do you think of Arc Resources and Tamarack Valley? Do you think they are too high or considering the oil price and if it continues to tick higher, the stocks will do well. Much appreciated.
