Q: In a September 29th question I asked if Emera had missed estimates and you said they missed 4 out of the past 8 quarters. Yet I look at the chart and it keeps going up, currently hitting resistance at $60/share.

Why/How does it keep going up even though it has missed estimates when other utilities like AQN are getting hammered?

Thanks

Q: I used the recent weakness to add TCL to my portfolio a few weeks back when I felt the slide had ended. Starting to feel like I jumped in too early with the further drops in the past week... Are you still strong supporters of TCL in the income portfolio? It does have a good yield so not an issue if you still like the company long term.

Q: Any comments on DR as it has been going down steadily over the last couple of weeks. I've been trying to sell into the previous strength. My intent is to exit this position and I am prepared to just proceed but if this current weakness is tax loss selling or a fund exiting their position I would be prepared to wait for the new year. I've got about a 25% loss on my position.

Q: I am currently looking to increase allocations in LIF (1.8%) ,NTR (2.1%), NWC (1.2%) and PBH (1.95%).

Two questions

1) Would you avoid increasing the allocations on any of these?

2) In what order would you purchase the remaining?

THANK YOU for your superb advice and service.

Q: Hi
I am looking for 5 US Income producing stocks to provide US funds to travel with. This will be long term investments, looking for low to moderate risk, good income stream and somewhat diversified although that's not a huge criterion.
Thank you, Len

Q: I have held AQN in my TFSA since 2012. Given your recent comments on it as more of a "hold" than growth as well as my attempt to pivot my TFSA away from income to more of a more growth tilt am wondering if it is time to "graduate" AQN to my income-with-growth leaning non-reg account before year end? I also hold FTS, BEP and BIP in my non-reg accounts. I am retired investor but do not depend upon my investment income and challenged by a 43% marginal tax rate with this move.

Q: Hi, I am trying to have some exposure to Energy Group, with low risk dividends paying companies. You added Suncor with good timing and Balanced Portfolio benefitted from the 20% jump with company announcing 100% Dividend raise and large share buyback plan. Based on your comments and its profile, I have started an initial 1% position at about $32. My question is, is it late to bump the position to 2%, with recent price jump ? Do you expect share price to correct a bit in near term and if so, what would be a decent level to add ? Also, what are the catalysts, in the short term, to take the stock to next level.

Do you also place CNQ in the same category ?

Thank You
