Q: Hello Peter
Out of the three stocks, AQN has the highest dividend; however, is this sustainable? From an overall safety with decent dividend, I was thinking of Fortis instead of BEP.UN. Any comments please?

Q: I am contemplating buying PSK for nat gas exposure but I don't know the actual % of total royalties that are derived from nat gas. Do you have that data for both PSK and FRU? I would sell FRU to make the buy in spite of the fact that FRU has outperformed PSK slightly over the past year and div if much higher. I am attempting to partake in the success of the LNG facility on the west coast. Is this move wise and will it accomplish my intent?

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,

In Saturday's Globe and Mail, David Berman wrote an article called "BCE’s dividend yield is back above 6 per cent. Here’s why that’s a buy signal" Portfolio Analytics indicates that we're low in the Communications Services sector, and given that Berman's back-dated numbers are compelling, we're wondering if now would be a good time to buy some more BCE. Your thoughts? Thanks in advance for your insight.

Q: Of the holdings in the Income Portfolio, can you suggest a few names that have the best prospects for growing their dividend over the next decade, through all market conditions?

Thanks.

Q: Portfolio is high quality safer high yield dividend growers. Any like AQN that you would suggest selling and upgrading to another company? Ideally would like to maintain/increase the yield (maybe take advantage of high quality stocks that have been hit harder) without increasing the current risk of the portfolio? Not keen to sell low yielding BEP right now as its down a fair bit but I'm sure better days are ahead.

Current portfolio holdings are:
AW.UN AQN BNS BCE BEP.UN ENB EIF MFC SLF SYZ T TD

Q: What are your top 3 Cdn Utilities and top 3 Cdn Telecomms for Growth and Income, given recent pullbacks. Is this a good time to buy or should I wait for things to settle. Will Utilities and Telecomms provide some security heading into or during a recession.

Thanks
Tim

Q: Hi, how safe is the dividend on a scale of 1-10 whereby 10 is very safe. Do they carry debt that could some day impact the dividend as rates rise? Has the dividend ever been cut? Any reason why the dividend has not been raised for a few years? Lastly, do you see Keyera as a takeover target in the future. Many thanks as always for the great service that you provide.

Q: Hi
I have held SPB for a long time and my cost is $5.98 Over the years the stock has been more than paid for itself by the dividends.
It has been as high as $16.00 in the past year or so but now it is back below $10.00 again. It now yields over 7%. Is that out of line or even sustainable?
What could be the fundamental reason for this latest set-back? Winter is on it's way and global warming notwithstanding it will likely get colder.
They have continually been buying more assets and should that not make the shares more valuable?
Could I have your analyses please. H.

Q: Hi, Could you please confirm the Ex-Dividend Dates for these two companies. The company investor relations website says Ex-Dividend Date - Sep 29, 2022 and Record Date - Sep 30, 2022. But the TMX as well as our CIBC Brokerage shows Ex-Dividend Date as Sep 28, 2022. Could you please confirm. Thank You
