Q: Is there withholding tax on distributions if held in tfsa?
Asked by Steve on April 22, 2025
5i Research Answer:

The fund does hold US securities directly, and in a TFSA there will be a 15% witholding tax on the dividends received from these companies. Note that part of the distribution is considered capital gains and return of capital and there will be no tax on this portion.
