Q: Morning Peter and team,

I am thinking of getting some exposure to gold and would appreciate your suggestion as to how I should go about it, e.g. mining companies, stocks, etfs, physical gold, etc?

Thanks,
H

Gold stocks typically provide more leverage (both ways) to the price of gold. Gold bullion is typically seen as 'insurance' and a store of value. We think both stocks and bullion can be owned, if one wants general sector exposure. We would see PHYS and XGD as a good combination.
