JPMorgan US Equity Premium Income Active ETF (JEPI)
-
JPMorgan Nasdaq Equity Premium Income Active ETF (JEPQ)
Q: Hi Can you please give your opinion on two these ETFs and any suggestion on alternative if not in favour of them.
5i Research Answer:
JEPI aims to deliver monthly income with less volatile and it has done that in its short existence. The dividend varies, but Beta at 0.61 is well below the market's volatility. It has not been proven in a bad market but we would be comfortable owning this for income. JEPQ is similar, but smaller in terms of assets. Beta is higher at 0.86 but still lower than the market. Indicated yield is higher at 12.50%. For enhanced income, again we would be comfortable. Note these are still equity-based products and will still see declines in a bad market.
