Fees are a bit high, at 0.71%, but active funds do have higher fees. The fund has an excellent 5-year annualized return of 16.32%. Note in the past five years returns have been enhanced by currency moves (for the C$ version). It owns mostly large cap US stocks. Up to 30% of the fund can be non-dividend securities, and it is allowed to use call options to enhance returns. Indicated yield is 3.85%. We would be comfortable buying it, and would prefer the US version since it owns US stocks. The US$ version pays its income in US$ so there would be no f/x fees.
