Q: I am a retired senior in his mid 70s and looking for monthly dividend income. I am looking for your opinion on this particular ETF to see if it would fit the bill. The etf I am looking for would have to be low to med risk and carry a descent monthly dividend, and have low fees. One of my concerns with this etf is diversification as it appears to only hold 20 stocks. Your opinion on this etf or any other one that would fit the bill would be appreciated. Thank you.
5i Research Answer:
XDIV has $1.9B in assets, and fees are low at 0.11%. Indicated yield is 4.11%. One year return 22.92%. We show 21 holdings, so it is concentrated. But median market cap is $48B, and we would consider its holdings quite conservative. Its beta at 0.56 shows it is less volatile than the market. We think it is a solid ETF for conservative investors.
