- Vanguard U.S. Aggregate Bond Index ETF (CAD-hedged) (VBU)
- BMO Asset Management Inc (ZTL)
- Vanguard Global Aggregate Bond Index ETF (CAD-hedged) (VGAB)
Q: Hello, thank you for your answer on the VGAB ETF. VGAB has about 50% of its holdings in the US, can you recommend CAN$ bond ETFs with 100% holdings in the US? Thanks.
5i Research Answer:
The BMO Long-Term US Treasury Bond ETF (ZTL) has 100% of its portfolio comprised of US bonds, although it is focused on long-term bonds. The Vanguard US Aggregate Bond ETF (VBU) is almost entirely US (93% of its bonds are US), and it has more of a balanced construction of bond terms.
