Small caps have certainly woken up, with the small cap US index up 11% in November. KXS announced a contract on Nov. 25 but hasn't really seen any other material news. It is not a cheap stock so we would not consider the move a valuation-gap closing. But good earnings growth is expected and it continues to have 'too much' cash. WELL is up 57% now this year, and at 24X earnings. It has had no news for a month until yesterday's announced closing of its small Jack Nathan acquisition, and the beginning of its clinical network with WMT. This is 'old' news but it is now official upon the closing of the acquisition.
