Q: Following Donald Trump's recent election victory, utility stocks have experienced a pullback. Given the current valuation, would you consider it a good entry point given the recent weakness? Please also rank it

All the utilities mentioned except ALA are primarily renewables players and Trump has frequently voiced his stance on pulling funding and cutting tax credits to renewables that was provided under the inflation reduction act. We commented on the actual breakdown in exposure to the US for these Canadian utilities here. We think this could be a good entry point for these companies as all have diversified enough operations while are also not overly exposed to the US. We would rank them: BEPC, ALA, NPI, BLX.
