- iShares S&P/TSX 60 Index ETF (XIU)
- TD U.S. Equity Index ETF (TPU)
- TD Canadian Equity Index ETF (TTP)
- Vanguard S&P 500 Index ETF (VFV)
Q: Everyone, I would like to buy one Canadian ETF and one US ETF for a long term hold, risk medium. TPU and TTP look interesting but this is an area I have very little knowledge on. Clayton
5i Research Answer:
We think both of these look good for broad country exposure. Fees are low, and assets are high for both funds so we would be comfortable with either. For general broad market exposure, we think S&P500 and TSX index tracking ETFs would also work for which we like VFV and XIU. We think TPU or TTP are good options for country exposure.
