They are slightly different where RMAX uses covered calls, writing options on 30-50% of its portfolio to offer a higher yield. ZRE also only focues on Canadian REITs while RMAX has almost an even allocation between Canadian and US REITs. We are concerned with the newness and and small size of RMAX at just under $60M in net assets. Fees are on the higher end for both funds while both are relatively similar with ZRE being marginally lower. We would prefer ZRE today but would monitor RMAX's performance.
