Q: Looking at Evolve ETFs, I notice that there is limited daily trading on many of them, which means low liquidity. They are also relatively new to the market without much history. Kindly provide your opinion on these.

5i Research Answer:

We have no issues with Evolve as a manager. It has a massive number of funds and we cannot comment on them all here. BANK, for example, has $256M in assets and is up 35.74% in the past year. Some are tiny (less than $1M in assets) but many have hundred of millions in assets and are far more liquid. Generally, we try to avoid funds with less than $75M in assets. The company's fees can be higher than average but many of its ETFs are 'specialized' which require more management. We are happy to give detailed comments on specific funds upon request, but Evolve has more than 50 listed.
