- Brookfield Corporation Class A Limited Voting Shares (BN)
- Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. Class A Limited Voting Shares (BAM)
Q: I own both as well as stocks like Bip, Bepc, …. I want to own more of BMA and/or BN.
should I own 1 or both? And if 1 why? And if 2 why as well.
Part of my objective here is buy stocks whose size and diversity adds a degree of safety both short term and longer term. Hopefully that is doable here.
Thanks for your help.,

We like BN and BAM and certainly recent stock momentum for both is very positive. We view BN as 'growth' and BAM as 'income first, growth second' as it pays out the majority of its cash flow as dividends and plans to continue to do so. Both can be owned easily. Since, BN owns shares in BAM, there is still some indirect exposure in BAM through BN, so if one is growth-focused we would be fine owning just BN if an investor does not need the higher income from BAM. BN is very well diversified on its own.
