Q: Would you see any reason to keep either of these companies... they have been a drag on my portfolio of a long time. I am thinking of deploying this money into WGX (the KRR merger)?

Please see this question for some general IAU comments. There is potential from current levels but we would certainly not see it as a 'must own' stock and would be fine letting it go. EQX is acting better and is up a bit this year. It is much larger and safer, and EPS is expected to grow sharply over the next 2 years. We would see it as a better HOLD. But we think KGX/KRR is better and would be OK with a switch as well.
