The Grayscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE) was previously a closed-end fund for Ethereum, which has now converted to an ETF. Grayscale has set an MER of 2.5% for the ETF, whereas other Ethereum ETFs that recently launched have MERs between 0.15% and 0.25%, a drastic difference. To add to this, Grayscale launched a 'mini-trust' Ethereum ETF (Ticker is ETH), which has the lowest MER of them all 0.15%.
Overall, despite Grayscale Mini-Trust's (ETH) low MER of 0.15%, we would prefer either the Fidelity or Blackrock Ethereum ETFs (FETH or ETHA), which have MERs of 0.25%. These ETFs will likely garner most of the AUM and become some of the more liquid Ethereum ETFs on the market.
