5i Research Answer:

The options for small-cap ETFs in Canada (both focused on Canadian and US stocks) is fairly limited, but there is the iShares US Small Cap ETF (XSU) which is CAD-hedged. It is mainly a proxy to the Russell 2000 index.

Alternatively, there is the BMO S&P US Small Cap ETF (ZSML), but it is not hedged to the CAD. ZSML focuses on the higher-quality small-cap index, S&P 600.

Authors of this answer, directors, partners and/or officers of 5i Research and/or affiliated companies have a financial or other interest in XSU.
