Q: For a RRIF looking forward assuming a slow decline in interest rates, which of these two (HMAX, HDIV) would you select and why please? Do you have any issues with either or both these? Thanks again. Dan

5i Research Answer:

We have no issues with either, as long as investors understand the 'enhanced' income can potentially lower upside potential in rallies. Of these, it essentially comes down to performance of banks (HMAX) vs multi-sector (HDIV). Considering that lower rates can potential boost returns across all sectors, today we would side with HDIV of the two.
