Q: Has Horizon simply changed its name or has it sold to a new company?? The above funds are now called Global X.... If sold, can you please tell me about the new company.

Horizons was rebranded to Global X Investments Canada on March 6, 2024. Horizons was not sold to a new company, however it was and continues to be a wholly owned subsidiary of Mirae Asset Financial Group. It appears that this was simply a cosmetic change for the company as they aim to expand their global reach.
