LGC is still very small at $79M market cap, and that is even with a 360% gain in the past year (60% YTD). It has $11M cash, but no revenue, losses and negative cash flow. Insiders own 25% and Eric Sprott owns ~16%. Kinross Gold owns 5%. This is a solid group of shareholders but makes trading volatile due to a small float. It has an interesting exploration project in Brazil, in an area of historical gold workings, and may have multi-million ounce potential. Recent assay results have been very good and have set off a lot of investor excitement. It is very early days, and lots of money and time are still needed here, but we think it looks quite good for a (highly) speculative play. In addition to strong shareholders it also has experienced and good management, in our view.
