Due to how broad the materials sector is there are a number of options. Our favourite pick would be XLB with total assets nearing $5B and a low expense ratio at 0.09%. We also like VAW with total assets of $2.89B and 0.10% total expense ratio. These are our top picks and they both happen to be US, but if you were looking to consider a CAD option as well we would suggest XMA.
