Q: Somewhat confused as to dividend. You state the dividend as approx. 13 % whereas TD Waterhouse says approx. 8 %.
What am I missing?
Thanks

5i Research Answer:

The last dividend paid was 17.21 cents. The dividend is paid monthly, for an annual rate of $2.07, which is a yield of 13.7% at current prices. It looks like TD and other sites are using only the dividends paid in the last year. Since the first dividend was only Aug 8, 2023, it has not paid 12 dividends yet, so 8.1% is the yield based on what has actually been paid in the past year and 13.7% is the indicated annual yield based on the last monthly payment.
