Q: Hi - of these two, which do you prefer for a growth mindset. Having said that, please feel free to say that you wouldn't invest in either at this time/prices. Lastly, do you see a possibility for AGF to be taken over (obviously with the blessing of the Goldring Family).

We think AGF should have been taken over years, even decades ago. Now, we doubt the family would be interested, considering its low valuation and the possibility of strong equity markets. We would much prefer CIX right now. But, we would only buy it for income investors. It is very cheap, and doing fine, but growth may still be tempered by competition and low margins.
