Market View
Major North American indices rose this week, and are on track for strong weekly gains. Gold jumped while oil prices were down. The Canadian dollar was 76.01. U.S. S&P500 rose 3.4% this week and the TSX ended the week up 1.8%.
All sectors rose this week. Healthcare rose the highest at 13.9%, followed by energy at 6.8%, and consumer discretionary at 5.1%. Industrials rose by 2.2%, followed by financials and technology up by 1.6%, each. The most heavily traded shares by volume were Aurora Cannabis, Aphria Inc, and Suncor Energy.
