The three main U.S. indexes climbed to record-highs for the fourth day in a row on Thursday, fuelled by gains in technology stocks. TransCanada (TRP) announced that it has scrapped its Energy East Pipeline and Eastern Mainline projects amid regulatory hurdles. TransCanada expects an estimated $1B after-tax, non-cash charge to be recorded in the fourth quarter. MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates (MDA) closed its $4.7 billion acquisition of U.S. satellite imagery company DigitalGlobe (DGI), creating an integrated space technology company serving both commercial and government customers.
